Nikos Economopoulos, Greece’s brightest young singing star of laika music is coming to give concerts in Cyprus for the second time. Nikos’ first concert in Cyprus, at the music centre “Monte Caputo” (Limassol) on 1 October 2010, was a total and overwhelming success.
On this occasion, during December 2010, Nikos will present to the public of Nicosia, Limassol and Ayia Napa a programme that will include not only songs from his previous three albums and other all time favourites, but also some new numbers. The new songs Nikos will sing are from his new CD ΔΏΡΟ ΓΙΑ ΣΈΝΑ (A Gift for You). This album was released on 4 December and in a few days went Platinum – a sensational success well deserved by this extraordinarily gifted singer.
Giannis Parios referred to Nikos as “Our future,” while they were performing together.
And, of course, the coryphaeus of Greek song was absolutely right. Nikos is winning hearts of people not only in Greece but in many countries around the world. His talent is developing splendidly while his repertoire is growing, perfectly combining traditional laika-style songs with pop and rock compositions.
