A series of concerts Nikos Economopoulos gave at the end of 2010 in Cyprus became a new stage of the creative growth of this remarkable artist.
Nikos brought to Cyprus (this time to the towns of Agia Napa, Nicosia and Limassol) not only a new, enriched program with songs from his latest, super-popular album "DORO GIA SENA" but also a new Nikos, himself, as a singer. Over the past few months an artist has been able to increase his skills even further by adding a lot of new colours to his already beautiful voice. The combination of warm, soft tones in the lower and middle registers of his voice (these qualities emerged recently) with his trade-mark, shiny, top sounds enabled Nikos to gain even more public. A magnificent repertoire which was based on the hits specially written for Nikos and the superb quality of this young artist made each concert in Cyprus a significant event. It was very difficult to keep the hype of the audience within the bounds of decency during Nikos Economopoulos’ December performances on the Cyprus stages (like it was in October 2010, during his first visit to Cyprus). The hot blooded fans of the singer were ready to dismantle Nikos for souvenirs. But luckily they couldn’t.
The most impressive fact in this story with the Cyprus concert marathon is that Nikos managed to find time for the concerts in between his regular appearances in Athens and at the same time keep the highest class of his show. It should be noted that the growing success of the program with the participation of Nicos in the club "Fix" (Athens) resulted in the music centre’s management had to increase the number of days from two to three. In turn, this forced Nikos to reschedule the Cyprus concerts and move his appearance in Agia Napa from 30th December to 27th.
So, while breaking through to Cyprus during an interval between shows in "Fix", Nikos demonstrated his great creative shape and thus showed once again how high and invariable his respect is for the public, how big his love is to the profession and to those people who are packing up the places in which he appears.
Together this respect, this love and this devotion is that very gift which is mentioned in the title track of Nikos Economopoulos' tremendously successful album called "DORO GIA SENA" (A Gift for You).
